Miramichi Sportsmens Club
Minutes of August 09, 2011 Meeting
The regular meeting of the Miramichi Sportsmen’s Club was called to order at 7 PM August 9th at the Kinsman’s Center by the President Mr. Harold Parlee.
An agenda was presented and it was moved by Paul Nowlan and seconded by George Driscoll that it be approved as presented. Motion was carried.
Minutes of the last meeting dated 25 May 2011 were read and approved.
Mr. Parlee reported that we have a Bank balance of $2638.83 on hand as of this date.
A discussion was held regarding the Web site ref Faction Leaders being able to be able to change information. After much discussion it was decided to leave this as it is.
Membership: We have a membership of 86.
Harold Parlee reported on a very successful shoot he held with members of his work site. Harold also suggested that we contact other businesses in the area to see iof they would be interested in coming to our ranges for a recreational shoot. It was also suggested that we contact the local Archery Club to see if they would like to join our Club and set up an Archery range.
Don Getty gave a report on the Thursday evening rim-fire shoot. He has had very poor attendance so far. It was decided to change to Wednesday evening to go along with the Wednesday evening Shotgun shoot starting 17 August 2011 starting at 6PM.
Mr. Morrill Sisk gave a talk and a show on Air-gun shooting. It was decided to see if he can obtain interest enough in this to be able to set up a portable range.
Faction Reports.
Pistol-- Don Getty gave a report on a Special Shoot at the Pistol Range this Saturday. All welcome.
Shotgun—Paul Nowlan reported that we are shooting each week from 6 PM until dark on Wednesdays and on Sundays from 1PM to 4PM. A Sporting Clay shoot will be held next week.
Rifle—-No Report
