MINUTES OF CLUB MEETINGS
Miramichi Sportsmens Club
Minutes of Annual Meeting 28 November 2006
1. President Charles McNamara called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM 22 members present.
2. Secretary Eldon Rogers read the minutes of the last meeting held on 9 May 2006 and it was moved by Paul Nowlan and seconded by Doug Getty that the be accepted as read. Motion carried.
3. The treasurer Harold Parlee gave a detailed account of our finances. He reported that the balance was $1705.27 on hand as of this date. Harold moved that this report be accepted and Gerald seconded the motion. Motion carried.
4. Paul gave a report on the shotgun faction. He reported that several successful shoots were held and that the All around shot should be held again next year.
5. Dennis reported on the pistol faction. Work has been done on the building making it better and safer. Also new markers are placed on the 25 and 50 yard points.
6. Alexis reported that several shoot had been held on the rifle range. The range is in good shape however he has had problems getting shooters out in any quantity.
7. Charles reported that this year so far we have 127 paid up members. Also as of Jan. 01 2007 a new lock will be installed on the main gate. He also gave a report on the range expansion. Most of the survey work has been completed.
8. Charles also reported on our Web Site. We had 759 new hits this past year. Also that members wishing to sell guns etc. can submit it to the web site.
9. As ranges will have to be recertified it will be the responsibility of the faction heads to make certain that all ranges are up to specifications
10. Paul made a motion that $850.00 be allotted to upgrade the skeet houses. Seconded by Andy Stewart Motion carried.
11 Their being no further business Alexis moved the meeting adjourn.
Following the main meeting an election of officers for the coming year was held. The following officers were certified for the coming year.
